Hello again Gents,

I let my addiction get the better of me again and bought this 1915 stamped Cossipore arsenal MKII. It's in pretty rough shape, especially the scabbard, but it has loads of character and a fair few markings.

this looks like a 9 with 9920 beneath it.

and then perhaps 4 B G or A B G?

and finally I ^ M and Col (or is it Ca?) 1917 on the scabbard

I'd be interested to know what the Col / Ca stands for on these military pieces if anyone can enlighten me?

EDIT: Here are the specs
Overall length: 44cm
Blade length: 33.5cm
Handle: 10.3cm
Arc: 35cm
Belly: 5.8cm
Drop: 8.8cm
Weight: 655g

Anyway, just thought I'd share and ask if anyone has any tips on softening old dry scabbard leather? The scabbard on this one is a real state, it was actually quite cheeky of the auctioneers, who used the kukri to cover the damage in the display photo.

As always comments most welcome.
