Can you tell me what Kukri I have? How old is it and how much it's worth? Some old man gave it to me and told that he buy it 50 years ago.

Hi and welcome.
This would fall under the category of a tourist kukri.
They have been made in various guises and of a wide range of quality, as to age that would be nigh on impossible for us to say. I was venerabily offered one in Kathmandu as"my grandfather's kukri " on one of my visits in the early 2000's.
Value? Not of any monetary value.

Kind regards
Captain

Thank's for information and help.
I recieved it from 90 years old Polish doctor. He told me that he recieved it as a gift from his friend 50 years ago.
The knife looks quite solid, handle is made of bone and scabbard is made of buffalo horn

Welcome,

I guess it could be 50 years old? or your 90 year old friends memory is maybe blurring the years a little?

The tourists, hit Nepal heavily around then though.. for the ganja & enlightenment, Id have guessed it was 15 to 40 years old myself, but that's just an opinion, we cant really comment on scabbard , as you didn't post a photo of it. Does it have coins or symbols inlayed into it?

Today tourist quality kukris that look like this are now made in china & even exported to Nepal for sale to tourists.

But yours is an authentic Nepalese tourist piece! Not a Chinese copy!

Id guess you might get £10 to £15 for it on a good day on ebay..... with a fair wind on an auspicious day! You might have to include postage though.

Might be best to keep as a reminder of your friendship? Time passes so quickly...
