Hello Forum,

My name is Aditya, I have just joined the forum.

I wanted to check if any member could help me get access to John Powell's Articles.

The Links on HI are not working, I did find a time machine link, but the links to images are broken.

Look Forward to hearing from you all.

Regards,
Aditya

Hello Aditya,

Welcome to IKRHS!

I do have most of John's articles in hard copy, but none in digital form I'm afraid. Hopefully somebody here will, andwill be able to send them across to you.

Failing that, I should be able to scan them once I have found them, but moving house in the next couple of months so there will be a delay!!

Are you a collector, or simply interested in Kukri in general?

All the best,

Chris

Hello Chris,

Thank for the reply.

I am a collector of Indo Persian Arms and Armour. Khukri's have been an area of special interest to me.

I am primarily interested in Antique Khukri's. New Blades are a fascination and I do own a few. But its the Antiques which really keep me going. :)

Thanks for your offer to scan the Documents, much appreciated. Will wait till you have the time get it done.

Regards,
Aditya

Hi Shawn,

But If you can PM me, then I can reply to that and send you the details.

Dear Mod,

I have been replying trying to reply to response I have received on my post.

However the response's are not getting posted.

In trying to figure out what was wrong, I have accidently reported a response to my post.

I did not mean to report this.

Hopefully you will post my responses soon enough.

Thanks,
Aditya

As an owner (caretaker?) of one of John's Khukuri (see attached) I would also be interested in anything he has published. Thanks!

Yes JP had many, many hundreds of kukris ranging from the lowest lions head tourist crap to the rarest, best made pieces fit for warriors, maharajahs and kings.
