Hi guys have another KB Thakuri kuk to show you , has a lovely Tin Chirra blade that is very well done ,nice stamping on the blade,15 inch blade at only 490 grams.
Has a dual material handle ,a mix of bone and horn, and brass butt cap and bolster ,has the original scabbard with the brass throat at the top that Thakuri used ,I find the Thakuris I've come across to be very well made and have a bit character to them
Was thinking late ww2 or just post war for this one .

Interesting forward forging into the tin chirra style! Unusual!

Certainly the overall outline looks classic Darjeeling shape....

Cheers!

Here's some picts for Nigel who was enquiring about KBThakuri Kukri ,the old ones were lost ,this one has a 15.5 inch blade ,5 inch handle ,nice hollow forged blade ,has the unusual shark tooth type kaudi and the Thakuri stamping on the blade ,as Spiral said before probably made for a westerner by the size of the handle .
