Hello all,

as title says I'm new to Kukri knives. Can someone please provide information if Kukri on attached pictures seems real and what would be the approximate value of it?
Besides year 1917 there are no other stamps/ marks on it.

Thank you very much.

Thank you for quick response.
I did not buy it (yet?). Saw it in local add few weeks ago, then google search directed mi to this forum, to post "Fake Military Kukri’s, and how to spot them."
I know nothing about Kukri and after reading post and checking pictures I was still not sure if it is fake or real, so I just let it go.
Well, I guess since I like the look of this particular Kukri, I decided to find out for sure and ask experts.

So someone had a nice real Kukri and decided to stamp it to make it more attractive (maybe?) to buyers?

Is this Kukri at least close to 1917s? I like to "aged" look of it and it seems to be in good condition.

Thats good, that you didnt buy it! The kukri certanly could be ww1, The scabbard and frog our from a different kukri from ww2.

So yes someones put very poor fake marks on a good genuine kukri.
