Hi Spiral,

Nothing deliberate just confirming that I am actually right and these are suspect/fakes, very new to collecting and without this sites knowledge I will keep making mistakes as will others.

As someone said the Kukri collector probably are in the hundreds and most know what they are doing, the rest of us (me included are learning by our mistakes). The purpose of my post was to warn and educate the less well informed.

But point taken, I am not pushing these to anyone I am trying to learn from everyone. I hope my purpose is clear here.

Many thanks,
Scott

P.S I will keep my links to myself, I if I buy something fake I will find out when I post the pictures here and ask for an opinion :)

The owner of this website, {Not I} can be sued by the auctions you list for there financial loss.

That would be the end of this forum.

Thats why most weapons forums have a no discussion policy concerning a live auction.

An occasional query is fine if your at a loss, a long list of fakes on a regular basis isnt.

It not your job as someone just starting collecting and new to the forum,
to decide to try to try elucidate answers from us to teach other people, who are not posting , on this forum.

Many thanks Spiral wasn’t aware of the legalities, will refrain for such posts and stick to pictures and await comments in future.

Please feel free to remove them if you think that legal action is a possibility.

Cheers,
Scott

(We Were talking about the prospective law that may be coming in early next year)

Reading the new proposals, it still refers to Section 141 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (offensive weapons) when it comes to private possession in the home. So, hypothetically, my WW1 Trench Knife/knuckle duster should be ok.......hopefully!!

Indeed ! I Hope so!

Assuming you can prove its a genuine one, and not a one of the many copies, if worst case scenario ever happens...

All the ww2 ones will possibly be illegal though, and those maharajah of Jodhpur ones...

Have to see what happens in the spring.....
