Hello All,

The Kukri's which have the 1/2/2 Chira, what is the purpose of this?

Is it any different than Fullers on Normal Knives?

What is the significance of the Chira?

Regards,
SP

Hi , you can get up to 3 fullers on a kukri .Anghola .Dui chirra .Tin Chirra , adds a dif feel to the blade and weight and balance .They all feel very dif in the hand .Needs a good kami to make those as well .usually Tin Chirras are on nice elaborate officers pieces .
Anyway see what the other guys think

What Highlander says is all true.

And from a physics point of view its like an constructional I beam used in building, greater stiffness and strength at lower weight ratio...

So function and beauty rolled into one...
