Would be interested as to thoughts on this Ram Dao and Ram Dao in general. This one just sold on the bay in UK and while I did bid it went for 325 US more that I could lay out right now.

This particular one I have seen before in an image that shows two Ram Dao together. The top one having being sold by a US dealer that apparently came from a private UK collection.

Thoughts as to age - I would assume early/mid 19th Century and origin. I read very much a true Nepalese sacrificial weapon but sometimes referred to as Northern Indian weapon.

Hope 2018 is a kukri one.

Interesting things... Many I understand are from Bengal rather than Nepal, particularly those in this style. Even when found in Nepal.

But there a sword that as far as i am aware hasnt had much serious research into it.

Spiral.
