 Post subject: Strange looking Kukri

This one came up and was sold on the bay - I have not been that sure what to make of it. Looks to be a black ebony wood hilt in a kora style. Any Ideas???

Very interesting .love the blade and kaudi style , looks an old one 1900 maybe , looks a rehilt but looks old to .

Nice blade, Interesting old re hilt. As are scotch friend says...

Not sure what culture the hilt is from.... Never seen anything quite the same outside of Africa,,,,

But that doesn't mean there isn't an Asian culture using similar, just not one that leaps to mind immediately...
