Have a rather nice WW2 1944 Qeyoom bros MK2 to show ,13.25 inch blade 710 Grams this belongs to friend of mine who's had kindly giving me permission to use his Picts ,has a very unusual stamping on the Tang ,Large 3 with a capital E in the middle ,does anyone know what this could mean ??

Nice clean example. I've not personally seen markings like this before. But I have not handled many Mkll's so it's not really a suprise.

Ive seen similar marks a couple of times, once was under the blunt ricasso of an emergency issue railway yard kukri.

I would assume the marks were to do with following production or unofficial inspection.

They dont appear to be offcial Brit Indian army type marks.

Kukris are mid length curved knives used both as a tool and a weapon. They are regimental issue to the famous Gurkha warriors, in whose skilled hands it becomes a frightening weapon.
