Picked up this gem today. Handle is possibly a replacement, and has been shortened a little, but it looks to have been like this for a very long time. Appears to have had a plate on the butt, too.
Nice F.W Fort William stamp on the spine.

Weight is 24oz, Overall length, 17 1/2"; Blade, 13 1/2"; Max depth, (belly) 2 1/2" and blade is 3/8" at its thickest.
They're still turning up and I only went out to buy some loo roll!!

If you zoom out, you'll see the pictures better........hopefully....

Nice one , yea looks like maybe a rehilt and had a butt plate at some point
As Spiral says tho the hilts varied a lot with the MK1s

Does look different and if a re hilt done a while ago.

Nice! lot of variant hilts with these, if shortened , will probably be peened rather than threaded.

Bit of a late reply, but the tang was still threaded, but the recessed nut had been cut right down so you could just see the remains of the screwdriver slot.
