Hi guys have what I think is a ww2 Angkhola judging by the butt cap ?? But maybe wrong ,initially I didn't notice it was a Angkhola till I started cleaning it or from previous Picts ,I'd seen it before on a militaria site and Captain spoke about it 3 or 4 years ago on the SFI forum ,I've now ended up with it as a wee birthday prezzie from my good wife :D
It has a 13.5 inch blade 620 Grams ,has a shallow fuller an inch and a half at the tip ,not seen that before, can't make it out in the Picts tho ,has a steep drop which gives it a really wicked feel .
Has the soldiers no 4474 stamped on it ?,lovely wood on the hilt with a diamond keeper Butt cap
Has an odd Kaudi shape ,kinda mushroom looking ,doesn't look Broken tho ,just an odd shape

Fabulous. I do like an Ang Khola, that's a good find as I think it's a good example. To have an issue or id set of numbers is the cherry on an excellent cake.
I will see if I can find the thread over on SFI over the weekend.

Thanks for sharing and happy birthday to you.
Regards
Captain

Very nice! Given the Dehradun Garhwol type production buttcap, Id agree post ww1.
