That is a wonderful find Ruben, congratulations!!

What is the blade length?

If you ever get tired of it, I am sure I have something interesting to trade for it!!

Hello Gents,

Have had this one for some time, stick tang, quite a thin spine and weighing around 500 grams, she looks more fighting Kukri than
general purpose and in some way the blade shape reminds me of some of the battalion ones. Could anyone give
me an idea about its age?

Thanks Highlander,

Hope you are correct :) i once been told its around 1950/60. Do yours also have quite s thin spine?
Blade lenght is around 34 cm by the way and no markings by the way.
Some super nice battalion Kukri's you have!

Regards, Ruben

Hi Ruben i find the Battalion ones to be a bit lighter,450 -550 gram range, and faster in the hand .mines vary in length from 12.5 inch to just over 13. Yea i find them a bit thinner on the spine .
Ill let my peers date it for you but dont think its 50s or 60s.
How did you manage to post up the whole pages of your old posts by the way??
Regards
Highlander

Hello all,

Bought this one quite some time ago....if i remember right off ebay and i think the previous owner is a member here....used and far from mint but one of my favourites to "handle".
Light at 470 grams and smaller blade than the others but with a really comfortable hilt/grip and a really quality item. Still ready for action she is :)
I think it's a battalion one with the soldiers nr on one side and crescent moon on the other....stick tang slighty hollow forged.
What do you gents think?
