Hi, I have been trying to change my password to make it easier for me to remember. I went to User Control Panel, and then profile to change it. Profile gives me a bad link. Am I doing this correctly? Please guide me on how I can change my password if this is an allowable thing to do. I greatly appreciate any help with this matter. Cheers, Wes

Hi, Thank you for your help with this matter. I did try to go to Profile, but the link keeps giving an error message. Is there something else I need to do in order to get to the Profile page? Thanks again for your help with this matter. Cheers, Wes

This is the error message I receive when I go to User Control Panel and click on Profile:

SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Unknown column 'f.field_show_profile' in 'where clause' [1054]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.

Is it my computer? I use a MAC, and sometimes they can be touchy with other programs. I appreciate your help with this matter. Cheers, Wes

Sorry, I just noticed the post.
Regrettably, the last rebuild after our hack attack left our forum architecture in something of a shambles. Among the many things that don't work right are the search function, some of the smilies, and the ability to change passwords, add avatars, and generally do much of anything with the profile. Being from a generation more adept at changing typewriter ribbons than writing code, I can't do anything but express frustration and regret.

This is weird Berk as, as I say I can change passwords, perhaps someone else could check this function may be because of my Moderator status , unfortunately I complete the leadership team at being technically inept ! Rod

Well, I don't have any ideas either, I am of the same boat when it comes to computers. I putz along and figure them out, but I definitely can change a ribbon on a typewriter also.
I did try it on a PC, and received the same error message, so it is not the MAC. Maybe I can ask my In laws, they might have an idea how to fix this. Thanks for the update. Cheers, Wes

Yes.
It is broken.
I can't fix it.
Anyone who knows how to write code and wants to volunteer to help?

Berk

I just uploaded a new avatar from the hard drive of my Mac without any problem. Apparently Rod and I as administrators still have some control over our own profiles. Apparently no one else does. If that helps anyone who understands computers to diagnose a possible cause or suggest a cure, please let me know.
