Tool Kit or Swiss Army Kukri.

This example has provision for twelve separate tools, of which none remain. There is one associated karda.

The traditional leather scabbard has lined decoration, and appears to be later embellished with a stitched flower/butterfly motif.

I believe this kukri was originally a military example, circa 1900, which was then had the scabbard converted to a tool kit example, possibly as a gift on leaving service. The khissa pouch is absent, and the pouch itself has come loose at the bottom, being slightly "flappy" This could be corrected by the new owner.

The kukri itself has an almost 14 inch blade, 18 inches overall. Deep double fullers, and a steel bolster. It has a deep cresent "armoury" marking on the right hand side of the blade.

The hard wood handle has the usual carved lines below the finger ring. The grip has some chips toward the pommel, and the tang is peened over an oval washer. The chips could be lessened/removed by the new owner if necessary.

Good examples of these "Swiss Army" kukri are getting hard to find, and despite the faults this kukri is beautifully crafted, with a wickedly sharp blade, and feel's great in the hand.

Odd tools do come up from time to time, so the scabbard could be restocked, or new tools could be made, if the new buyer has the relevant skills.

Offered to the esteemed members of IKRHS, with free UK shipping, International shipping at cost.

Price £95
