Dating to circa WW1, this interesting piece has had a soldiers number stamped to the blades spine. There may also be other script also on the spine, which has been partially erased. There is a gold/brass half moon inset on one side of the blade.
There also appears to have been a small silver presentation blade attached to the grip, but sadly this has long gone. Steel bolster and butt plate. Needs a good clean.

Blade 12 inches, 16 inches overall.
