First off, I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I was directed here by another knife forum where I have been a longtime member in good standing. With that being said, I have an old Kukri that I would like to sell. I honestly do not know it's value, but it appears pretty old. I believe the handles are elephant ivory on top of buffalo horn. This is kukri has an integral guard and a full tapered tang. From best I can tell the blade is forged. The kukri comes with the lether scabbard and the two small knives (sorry, I do not know their correct names).

I was told this was made in the early 1900's, but I have no way to verify this. If the pics do not load, email me and I will send them to you. I have been a knife collector for a long time but mostly in the area of custom folders. This is my first kukri to ever own, but I would like to find someone who would appreciate it more than I could. I am asking $250.00 shipped in the US (overseas extra). Please let me know if this price is out of line as I have no idea of it's value.

Hi sharpstick.

Really a nice and authentique piece - sorry I wasn't able to come back earlier, as
the pictures didn't display.

I believe your piece to date more to the 1950s (or very late 1940s) than to the early 1900s.
Looks like a very fine example of a post WW2 officers model.

Compared to the karda and chakmak found sometimes with these kukris yours are
especially nice ones.

Best of luck selling it

Andreas
