Picked this one up at Chatham Military last Sunday. It fits in nicely with my other plain and simple Kukri collection. I really like the brown leather scabbard, which has 3 slots for Karda/Chakmak/? and a funny little thing in the pouch!
It weighs in at 16oz, is 17" overall in length, with a 12 5/8" blade, which is 2 1/8" at the deepest part and 1/4" thick.

Plain maybe but perfect.
It looks like a WWl bat'issue type kukri and a nice one to me. I really appreciate these no nonsense Kuks.
The funny little thing is a Khissa and was used for storing various keepsakes like a mantra.
Always pleased to see these.

Captain.

Thanks for your thoughts, Captain! I did realize that the 'thing' was a Khissa, but this one has no apparent access to the interior, therefore, making it a 'thing' as opposed to a Khissa :)

Cool, I could be wrong but the kukri, scabbard and khisa look ww2 era to me.

Non working tinder pouches Ive only seen in ww2 and later, on kukris made for westerners who, had no use for the khisa anyway!
