Hi guys first Kukri for 2018 I'd love to know more about ,it's really thin 5 mm ,20 inch long laminated blade ,looks old ?? has a really nice cut Kaudi and curve to the blade ,the handle maybe a rehilt at sometime but looks old to. Has 2 pins thro the rat tail tang ,has what I think is a copper spacer beside the bolster ,looks military to me ?? Feels really light and fast in the hand ,the scabbard has a brass Chape but not original to the Scabbard ,any thoughts are welcome
Regards

Love this one - I think all original and just the pins added for some extra strength (done quite some time ago mind you) - does have a North West Frontier feel/look to it. Elegant and deadly all in one.

Lovely piece, looks all Origin to me, seen 4 or 5 such hilts, lovely Indo-Persian riccaso, overall looks NW Muslim India, NWF {As Ramba says} Or Afghan regions to me.

Very nice weapon, not utility piece.

Whats the stitching on the scabbard look like?

Very nice piece Highlander, congrats!

I'd love to get my hands on one like that.

I feel like I've seen a similar piece before, they look almost more like a yaghatan than a kukri. I'll see if I can find the pic.

Good pressie! Can she get me one?

I cant realistically say how old it is from photos,as rather unique in many features. but would guess late 19th century if I had to... But might be wrong, either way.

Looks very good quality though.. It there a deliberate pattern to the lamination? Dont suppose its Wootz? I wouldnt be surprised if it was...
